For anyone that exercises consistently it is almost impossible to live without supplements.
Being vegan, it was even tougher to find the right vegan protein supplements to enhance my diet as nothing brought the same feeling that Whey Protein did.
That was until the day that I was introduced to Vega.
First off I would like to state that I am neither a Vega affiliate nor salesman.
I just really enjoy their products and would like to share good helpful info that will definitely enhance your lifestyle.
I was introduced to Vega protein supplements a while ago and I’ve tried many other brands since then but nothing packs the power that Vega does.
In fact my ex-girlfriend used to say that I had a crush on Brendan Brazier (the creator of Vega) because my kitchen was full of products with his face on it, I even bought his books (great books by the way “The Thrive Diet” & “Thrive fitness” awesome info on a raw vegan diet).
I was hesitant to buy Vega Whole Food Optimizer as I had never spent more than $40 on protein and didn’t see the reason to buy a $70 product.
However my awesome yoga teacher at the time was a believer and she was the one that introduced me to the raw food lifestyle so I figured I’d give it a shot.
That first week was unbelievable, I felt like a new person, I thought I was already cleansed by eating only whole foods but Vega brought it to the next level.
I was going to the bathroom for sit down meetings about 3-4 times per day (I know, gross… but its important for me to share this so that you know you are cleaning your system).
It was a pure cleansing detox.
Also at the time I was still “overeating” as I wanted to make sure that I got all my nutrients since I had only recently stopped eating meat.
This product definitely made me feel that I did get everything I needed.
When you look at the content and ingredients it is more powerful than any multivitamin in the market.
It contains 100% of daily vitamins and minerals including Iron, calcium and Maca (I love Maca, energy boost right away).
Plus the confidence of having all the nutrients ensured that I ate less and I lost weight.
I usually start my day with Vega Whole Foods; I either take it with water or make a power juice with bananas, spinach, kale, mangoes and strawberries.
The next product I tried was Vega Sport and I can honestly say that I got a little addicted to this one at the beginning.
As you know, the more energy you have the more that you’ll lift or push.
A lot of trainers recommend that you take a coffee before working out;
However I’m not a coffee drinker so my resource used to be Gatorade or other sugary options as I never got into the pre-workout body-building products.
Vega Sport is the answer against all of the above, it is made of natural organic ingredients such as Coconut oil, Kambucha leaf, Ginseng root, Ginger root, Etc and it does the same thing.
It provides immediate energy, increases endurance, enhances your mental focus, Etc.
I saw an immediate difference in my lifts, I was stronger and it also made a difference in my cardio as I could go further.
On top of all that, it’s good for you, you should take it. It’s all natural… Awesome!
Recently I tried the Antioxidant EFA Oil Blend.
I was looking for another resource to make salad dressing other than olive oil and this is definitely the best mix in the market.
It’s a mixture of hemp seed oil, flax seed oil, green tea oil, pomegranate seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, etc etc.
It’s a powerful mixture of antioxidants. It’s just straight goodness, try it I guarantee you will feel a difference.
The bottle states to have a tablespoon with meals for extra antioxidant power, however I don’t feel the need to take it every day as I have a pretty good diet.
However I do make salad dressing with it so I take it 2-3 times per week and I know the days I took it because I can feel it.
Wont go into details, but trust me, its a good day!
Vega also makes Bars and an after workout protein which is actually really good, I really liked it, highly alkalizing for quick muscle restoration.
Unfortunately my budget limits me to the above so that’s what I ride with.
One of the greatest benefits of being vegan is that I became much more in touch with how my body functions and responds to foods and the environment.
I also have the benefit of controlling my energy levels as I can feed myself fattier foods such as nuts to wind down and rest or more fruits and light salads for energy through the day.
So when I bring something new into my diet I can definitely feel the benefits or drawbacks of my intake.
All the vegan protein supplements I mentioned above have my stamp of approval as they made me feel exceptionally better and I truly hope you get the opportunity to try them as you will feel the difference.
