When you switch to the vegan diet, you need to get more proteins, as they are the fuel of life. They happen to be found in rather large quantities in milk and other animal foods, but are in smaller amounts in vegetables. This means you have to eat more protein-rich veggies to satisfy your body’s need for proteins. Soy, seitan, quinoa and lentils have high amounts of proteins, so aim to have them in at least two of your three meals a day
