How to Make Almond Milk in a Food Processor

There are several ways to make almond milk and if you prefer or need to you can use a food processor to make almond milk.

Just keep in mind you will need a food processor large enough to at least hold 2 cups of water and 1 cup of almonds.

The steps below cover how to make almond milk in a food processor without soaking overnight:

Step 1: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. (By blanching the almonds you can avoid having to soak the almonds overnight.)

Step 2:  Add 1 cup of almonds to boiling water and boil for 20 minutes to 30 minutes.

Step 3: Strain and drain the almonds from the boiling water.

(If you want you can peel the skins off the almonds or leave them on.)

Step 4: Add the boiled almonds to a food processor and process thoroughly.

Step 5: Add two cups of water to the processed almonds and stir the almonds and water in the food processor on a low setting.

Step 6: Strain the almond milk using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth into a container.

Step 7: Save the almond milk pulp for other uses or discard.
